Idilia has been teaching Italian to students of all ages and backgrounds for many years and she loves sharing her knowledge of her native language and culture with her students.

Idilia Copertino is from Pisa, the city of the famous Leaning Tower. She has been teaching Italian to students of all ages and backgrounds for many years and she loves sharing her knowledge of her native language and culture with her students.

She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the “Università degli Studi di Pisa” with a Bachelor of Science, and obtained a Masters Degree in Foreign Language Pedagogy from the "Universita' per Stranieri di Siena" (Magna Cum Laude), and she holds both the "DITALS I" Certification [Certification in Italian Language Teaching Competence - Specialty: University Students] and the "DITALS II" Certification [Certification of Advanced Competence in Teaching Italian - All Target Students] from the same university.

In Chicago, Idilia has served as the Head Curriculum Writer and Lead Italian Teacher for Language Stars, a position which allowed her to explore and apply the latest pedagogical approaches and techniques in early childhood education and second-language acquisition. 

When she’s not working, she loves spending time with her family and continuing to nurture her lifelong passion for theater and photography.
