Valigie Narranti Project

On Saturday, May 14, 2022 Scuola Italiana Enrico Fermi(SIEF) International School, in partnership with Consolato Generale d'Italia a Chicago and Education Office, Director Marina Lenza, will play host for a free, family-friendly theatrical Italian storytelling event from the multi-talented author, Valentina Rizzi.

SHOW 1:  9:30-10:30am is for children ages 5 and under.

SHOW 2:  11am-12pm is for children ages 6 and up.

Please reserve places for yourselves and your children so we can track attendance accordingly.  LIMITED NUMBER OF SEATS.  All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.  Show is free!

Please enter through SIEF--look for the little wooden building to the left of the Parish Center's main entry.  Free parking in the lot, bike racks in two locations.

Masking is required for our audience.

ABOUT Valentina Rizzi: 

Theater therapist, member of the Italian Children’s Writers Association, Valentina Rizzi is the author of picture books, the editor for the Bibliolibrò bookseller for children's brands, and a traveling storyteller. Her children's texts have been translated and published in Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish, Romanian, Norwegian, English. In Italy, she published with Panini, Giunti, Gribaudo, De Agostini. For two years, Valentina Rizzi edited a regular column in the Illustrati Logos magazine. Her articles during the pandemic have been translated and published in the cultural insert Laberinto of the Mexican newspaper Milenio. Her text “Ora no più”, illustrated by Marianna Coppo and published by the Settenove publishing house, was included in the White Ravens 2016 Selection. It is currently being published with a new series of first readings for the Feltrinelli publishing house. She is creator of the International Italian Children's Library project, an inclusive and itinerant project of reading education in Italian, with Italian and foreign university faculties. Traveling between the lines with her narrative suitcases, independent, curious and always on the move, Valentina loves to collect the stories that the road brings her as a gift–and to tell them around the world.
